Daily Duas for All Activities

Morning Routine Duas

  1. Dua Upon Waking Up: “Alhamdulillahil-ladhi ahyana ba’da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur.”Translation: "All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after taking it away, and to Him is the resurrection."

  2. Dua for a Blessed Morning: “Allahumma inni as’aluka khayra hadhal-yawm, fathu-hu, nasra-hu, noora-hu, wa barakatah.”Translation: "O Allah, I ask You for the goodness, success, light, and blessings of this day."

  3. Dua for Renewed Health: “Alhamdulillahilladhi ‘afani fi jasadi, wa radda ‘alayya roohi, wa adhina li bi-dhikrihi.”Translation: "All praise is for Allah, who restored my health, returned my soul, and allowed me to remember Him."

Duas While Bathing or Performing Wudu

  1. Dua Before Entering the Bathroom: “Bismillah. Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika minal-khubthi wal-khaba’ith.”Translation: "In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from male and female devils."

  2. Dua After Leaving the Bathroom: “Ghufranaka.”Translation: "I ask for Your forgiveness."

  3. Dua for Wudu (Ablution): “Allahumma aj‘alni minat-tawwabeen, waj‘alni minal-mutatah-hireen.”Translation: "O Allah, make me among those who repent often and purify themselves."

Duas for Eating and Drinking

  1. Dua Before Eating: “Bismillah wa ‘ala barakatillah.”Translation: "In the name of Allah and with His blessings."

  2. Dua After Eating: “Alhamdulillahilladhi at‘amani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah.”Translation: "All praise is for Allah, who fed me this and provided it without my power or effort."

  3. Dua While Drinking Water: “Alhamdulillahilladhi saqana adhban furatan birahmatihi walam yaj‘alhu milhan ujajan bithunubina.”Translation: "All praise is for Allah, who gave us pure water to drink by His mercy and did not make it salty due to our sins."

Duas for Leaving and Entering the House

  1. Dua for Leaving the House: “Bismillah, tawakkaltu ‘alallah, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.”Translation: "In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah. There is no power or strength except with Allah."

  2. Dua for Entering the House: “Bismillah walajna, wa bismillah kharajna, wa ‘ala rabbina tawakkalna.”Translation: "In the name of Allah, we enter, and in the name of Allah, we leave, and upon our Lord, we rely."

Duas for Traveling

  1. Dua Before Starting a Journey: “Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin. Wa inna ila rabbina lamunqalibun.”Translation: "Glory be to Him who has subjected this to us, though we could never have accomplished it on our own. Surely, to our Lord, we will return."

  2. Dua for Safety on the Road: “Allahumma inni as’aluka fee safarina hadha albirra wat-taqwa wa minal-’amali ma tarda.”Translation: "O Allah, we ask You for piety, righteousness, and deeds that please You during this journey."

Duas for Work and Study

  1. Dua Before Starting Work or Study: “Rabbi zidni ‘ilma.”Translation: "O my Lord, increase me in knowledge."

  2. Dua for Success and Provision: “Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan.”Translation: "O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, lawful provision, and accepted deeds."

Evening Routine Duas

  1. Dua for Evening Protection: “A‘udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.”Translation: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created."

  2. Dua for Gratitude at Night: “Alhamdulillah alladhi at‘amana wa saqana wa kafana wa awana. Fakam mimman la kafiya lahu wa la mu’wee.”Translation: "All praise is for Allah, who fed us, provided us drink, sufficed us, and gave us shelter, for how many are without sufficiency or shelter."

Duas for Sleeping

  1. Dua Before Sleeping: “Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya.”Translation: "In Your name, O Allah, I live and die."

  2. Dua If You Wake in the Middle of the Night: “La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.”Translation: "There is no deity but Allah, alone, without partner. His is the dominion, His is the praise, and He has power over all things."

Duas for Health and Well-being

  1. Dua for General Health: “Allahumma ‘afini fi badani, Allahumma ‘afini fi sam‘i, Allahumma ‘afini fi basari. La ilaha illa anta.”Translation: "O Allah, grant me health in my body, hearing, and vision. There is no god but You."

Dua for Healing from Illness: “Allahumma rabban-nas, adhhibil-ba’sa, washfi anta shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uka, shifa’an la yughadiru saqama.”Translation: "O Allah, the Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal. You are the Healer, and there is no healing except Your healing—a healing that leaves no trace of illness."

Duas for Forgiveness and Repentance

  1. Dua for Forgiveness: “Astaghfirullah al-‘azheem alladhi la ilaha illa huwa, al-hayyul-qayyum wa atubu ilayh.”Translation: "I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Almighty, the Ever-Living, and I repent to Him."

  2. Dua Before Sleep for Forgiveness: “Allahumma ghfirli dhanbi wa wassi’li fi dari wa barikli fi rizqi.”Translation: "O Allah, forgive my sins, expand my home, and bless my provision."
